T. Hardy Morris is excited to announce 2014 tour dates in support of his debut solo album Audition Tapes, out now on Dangerbird Records. The breakout effort from the Dead Confederate frontman and member of Diamond Rugs, Audition Tapes has been lauded by Stereogum for its "calming beauty," won acclaim from Paste for its "wildly passionate" songwriting, and described by American Songwriter as "a raw, unfiltered view of an artist evolving and growing in front of our very eyes, setting the scene for repeat listens and years of enjoyment." The upcoming tour dates, listed below, will pair Morris on bills with Drive-By Truckers, Wilco side project The Autumn Defense, and Robert Ellis. Upcoming tour dates below.
To kick off the new year Morris is releasing a free six song EP, Live at The Georgia Theatre on NoiseTrade.com. The EP features one exclusive new original track, "Drinking Of You", and five live recordings of songs from Audition Tapes.

Following the release of Audition Tapes this past spring, Morris spent the rest of 2013 bringing his music to fans in unprecedented ways. The crux of these efforts was embodied by a series of take away videos produced for each song on the album. In a nod to the nostalgic tinge running through Audition Tapes, as well as his own reverence for his home state, Morris and filmmaker/photographer Jason Thrasher have traveled to 10 historic sites throughout Georgia to film the sessions. All of these sites were chosen from the "Places In Peril" list, published annually by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, which seeks to identify and preserve historic sites threatened by demolition and neglect. Over the course of the year these videos were debuted across many outlets including Stereogum, American Songwriter, CMT, KEXP, Huffington Post, Paste Magazine, Esquire, and R.E.M.'s official website among others, exposing a national audience to the cause taken up by the Georgia Trust, while shining a light on Morris' music.

Recorded at Playground Sound studios with Cosmic Thug production team Justin Collins and Adam Landry, the sessions behind Audition Tapes came to be with the help of a variety of Morris' talented circle of friends who "dropped by" to lend a hand, including Delta Spirit's Matt Vasquez, Black Lips/Diamond Rugs guitarst Ian Saint Pe, steel guitarist Matt "Pistol" Stossel, keyboardist Thayer Serrano, and drummer Julian Dorio (The Whigs)."
