Lilies On Mars / Dot To Dot
Retro futurist sound blended with electro dream pop, experimenting with vintage organs, synthesizer, psychedelic oscillations and echoes.
Lilies on Mars recorded Dot to Dot at their own studios between London and Sardinia. The deep contrast between these two inspiring environments gave a distinct shape to the sound of the record. This dynamic journey evoked a retro futurist sound blended with electro dream pop, experimenting with vintage organs, synthesizer, psychedelic oscillations and echos. Drums are also an important and versatile element throughout the whole record, combining hypnotic programmed beats with warm acoustic drums played by Valentina Magaletti (Fanfarlo/The Oscillation) recorded on one channel and surrounded by a wave of space echo. Dot to Dot was anticipated by the release of "Oceanic Landscape", featuring Franco Battiato, which was picked as "Track of the Week" bySimon Raymonde (Bella Union/Cocteau Twins) on his radio show at Amazing radio UK.
