Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas

ANNOUNCE DEBUT ALBUM SECRET EVIL
PASTE MAGAZINE PREMIERES NEW SONG "TIRED OAK"

Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas are thrilled to announce the release of their debut album Secret Evil, out August 19th on legendary producer's Richard Gottehrer label Instant Records.
Produced by Latin GRAMMY Award-winner Milo Froideval, Secret Evil is the debut album from this electrifying Detroit-based band, and the follow up to their 2013 EP Demons that caught the attention of NPR, Rolling Stone and Ladygunn Magazine for what PopMatters raves as "equal parts sexy and campy, baroque and vaudevillian, grimy and nasty, theatrical and intimate, all the things you'd expect from a band whose Facebook page lists Tom Waits and Gogol Bordello as their influences."
Secret Evil sees Hernandez and her five man Deltas serving up a dizzyingly polyglot sonic stew - equal parts rockabilly and surf pop, cabaret jazz and funky reggae, Latin psych and Gypsy punk - all cooked up on the hot Motor City pavement and seasoned by that distinctly Detroit combination of blasted R&B and limitless rock 'n' soul energy.
Songs like "Caught Up,""No Place To Hide" and "Tired Oak" showcase Hernandez's unstoppable vocals and breathe of musical ambition, braiding contemporary pop thrills with an original and unmistakable creative persona all her own.
Listen to "Tired Oak" on Paste Magazine - a song which they rave has "a touch of everything: snatches of breezy pop and rebellious punk mingle with freeform jazz, the grit of Detroit rock 'n' roll and the big, theatrical sound of a Broadway revue... incredibly talented"
Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas are currently spending every minute on the road captivating concertgoers with their dynamic live performances. The band has already shared the stage with legends as diverse as Wanda Jackson, Bob Seger and Shuggy Otis, and has recently toured with The Growlers and He's My Brother She's My Sister. They'll continue to spend all of 2014 on the road with a wide-ranging live schedule that includes headline dates, Communion Showcase events and high profile festivals such as Bumbershoot and Riot Fest.
