New York, NY - June 17, 2014 - The Village Voice's annual free 4Knots Music Festival announces the final lineup for its official After Party onSaturday, July 12th at Webster Hall in New York City. XXL's 2014 Top 12 "Freshman Class" inductee Jarren Benton and the Bronx's own rising rapper YC the Cynic will join previously announced headliner Ab-Soul. The After Party lineup also features two of hop hop's most influential online curators - DJ Meka of 2DopeBoyz.com and host for the night, Low Key of YouHeardTheNew.com. The after party is co-presented by Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival and is the official after party for both festivals. Headliner Ab-Soul, is a rapper and hip hop recording artist who has recorded both solo and with his hip hop super group Black Hippy, featuringKendrick Lamar, Jay Rock & Schoolboy Q. The California-based artist is best known for his introspective lyrics and his two independent albums under the label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), Longterm Mentality and Control System. His upcoming album recently announced on Twitter, These Days, will be released on June 2014. On May 22nd, Ab-Soul released the album's first track, "Stigmata" featuring Action Bronson and Philadelphia rapper, Asaad.
The After Party will be held immediately following the The Village Voice's free, all ages 4th Annual 4Knots Music Festival at South Street Seaport from 1-8pm, rain or shine. Dinosaur Jr., Mac DeMarco, Those Darlins, Speedy Ortiz, Radkey, Viet Cong, Nude Beach, Juan Wauters, Re-TROS, and Dead Stars are all confirmed to perform.
Bud Light is returning as the 4Knots Music Festival presenting sponsor.
