To coincide with the Retro Futura Tour of North America, Katrina Leskanich former lead singer of Katrina and The Waves, releases her first studio album in 10 years - 'Blisland' - inspired by the albums she grew up listening to in the 70s. Katrina has been busy performing at festivals and playing shows in the UK and all over Europe, but now looks to tour the US, embarking on her first American tour since the 80s – Retro Futura with Thompson Twin Tom Bailey, Howard Jones, Midge Ure and China Crisis.
'I wanted to record an album that reflected my love of all the genres of music I grew up listening to, from Peter Frampton Live to Neil Young's Harvest. I fell in love with the South West of England, the beautiful beaches reminded me of California and a little village called Blisland not only had a fantastic little pub, but also gave me the perfect name for my new album.'
