Dec. 8, 2014, Torrance, Calif. – Scion Audio Visual will open a pop-up record store, Scion AV Record Shop, at the Scion AV Installation (7667 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles) on Dec. 13. The seven-week event will feature close to two dozen independent labels offering an assortment of vinyl rarities for sale. Shoppers may also enjoy a select complimentary Scion AV vinyl release, subject to availability. Participating labels include A389 Recordings, Dim Mak Records, Duck Down Music, Echo Park Records, Fools Gold Records, In The Red Recordings, Metal Blade Records, Nuclear Blast, Prosthetic Records, Relapse Records, Riding Easy Records, Stones Throw Records, Tee Pee Records, Third Man Records, Turbo Recordings and Volcom Entertainment. Nuclear Blast will have a selection of limited edition, clear vinyl Slayer releases for sale. Scion sponsored the iconic band’s recent tour and created a Slayer-inspired project car which was unveiled at SEMA in Las Vegas.
