Cathedrals, the San Francisco duo comprised of Brodie Jenkins and Johnny Hwin released their self-titled debut EP on Neon Gold Records late last year. The self-titled EP is available digitally as well as on transparent black grape 10" vinyl including an MP3 download, available to order HERE.
Interview Magazine premiered "OOO AAA" HERE, with an interview that dives into the band's background as a pillar of the San Francisco artist community through Johnny's warehouse gallery, The SUB.
Cathedrals previously revealed "Harlem" HERE and "Unbound" HERE via their Soundcloud, and both songs shot to the #1 position on the Hype Machine chart in no time. Third single "Want My Love" marked Cathedrals' first single with esteemed New York pop impresarios Neon Gold Records, as Cathedrals look set to follow in the illustrious footsteps Neon Gold acts before them (Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding, Gotye, et. al), fitting in beautifullyamongst the backdrop of the label's more recent output (HAIM, Wet) and label founder Lizzy Plapinger's own rising outfit, MS MR.
Recent praise for Cathedrals:
"An LED Sculpture Dazzles In Cathedrals' New Music Video. Dreamy debut..." -The Creator's Project
"...an enigmatic, R&B-infused gem that features Jenkins and Hwin's haunting vocals. The dichotomy of dark and light within the music makes for a catching, gorgeous track. - Interview Magazine
"...post-Aaliyah mood-making, pulsating bass, gorgeous harmonies, and XX-like guitar-play." - SPIN Magazine
"...transitioning from psychedelic, distorted riffs to angelic whispers with ease." - Indie Shuffle
"...San Francisco boy/girl electro-pop duo Cathedrals cast a trifecta of light, love and principle ballerina Maria Kochetkova to set the mood in this new video." - FADER Magazine

Noisey premiered the BØRNS and Tommy English remix of "Harlem" and said: "...a melange of skittish canned beats and Brodie Jenkins' stacked vocals—it's glittery pop with an unexpected riff heavy middle eight."
San Franciso's duo Cathedrals had a thrilling 2014 that saw their debut EP released through Neon Gold Records, their first East Coast shows at CMJ where they played FADER Fort, Neon Gold's New Shapes and their own unique warehouse show with the Sugar Cubes light installation, which is featured in their "Unbound" video HERE. Their 2015 is off to a great start with two sold out shows at San Francisco's The Independent on West Coast Winter Run, which also includes stops in Santa Ana and Los Angeles' The Echo. Cathedrals are also on the bill for Noisepop Festival in San Francisco and will head to Austin's SXSW.

"We love this dark, minimalist take on "OOO AAA". The sinister vibe gives the lyrics even darker meaning. Tunji's verse adds a raw intimacy and immediacy to the song. We loved getting this track back and experiencing the song through his eyes."the band told FADER about the Tunji Ige remix.
