The Child of Lov is proud to share "Fly" off of his forthcoming self-titled LP which will be released on May 6th via Double Six Records and on May 7th via Domino Records in North America. The Child of Lov sees songwriter/vocalist Cole Williams heading back to the future as both modern soul man and funk revivalist crafting thickly-layered psychedelic grooves with a hip-hop attitude. The album, which was recorded at Damon Albarn's studio 13 and features contributions from Damon Albarn, Thundercat, and DOOM, possesses a nostalgic reverence for early trailblazers like Little Richard, Otis Redding and James Brown as well as a penchant for the later neo soul of Dilla and D'Angelo. The Child of Lov certifies his scholarly underpinnings with deft songwriting abilities, a voice weathered beyond his years, and a consummate cool that makes him feel like the rightful successor in the long line of musical heavyweights.
