NICKI BLUHM AND THE GRAMBLERS PREMIERE FIRST SINGLE

LOVED WILD LOST AVAILABLE ON APRIL 21ST

APRIL RESIDENCIES IN CHICAGO AND NASHVILLE

NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINING AND FESTIVAL DATES

San Francisco, CA - April 7, 2015 -- Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers have released the captivating first single, "Waiting on Love," from their much-anticipated new album, Loved Wild Lost. Paste magazine premiered the track yesterday, and it is now widely available. Fans can also pre-order the entire album now and receive "Waiting on Love" as an instant download.

Gramblers songwriter/guitarist Deren Ney, who wrote "Waiting on Love," says the song"is about what happens to summer love once summer ends. It's the nostalgia of keeping that spark alive when reality barges in. And it's about 12-string guitar blaring out of a stereo." Nicki continued, "When I first heard Deren play 'Waiting on Love,' its cheerful cadence almost masked its darker content. I love the juxtaposition of dark and light."

Last month, the Wall Street Journal premiered "High Neck Lace," saying: "It's a slow-burner, with keening steel guitar and eddies of strings [care of Magik*Magik Orchestra], surrounding Bluhm's warm, inviting vocals."

Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers teamed with producer Brian Deck (Iron & Wine, Modest Mouse, Josh Ritter) on Loved Wild Lost, which arrives on April 21st. It's their first time working with an outside collaborator and the result is their most compelling collection of songs to date. The richly layered sound forms the ideal foundation for Bluhm's soaring vocals and increasingly powerful songcraft. Further color comes from San Francisco's Magik*Magik Orchestra (Death Cab for Cutie, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, The Walkmen), whose complex arrangements serve to amplify the indelibly universal themes of Loved Wild Lost.

Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers just completed a successful March residency at Terrapin Crossroads in Northern California, and will continue with residencies in intimate venues in Chicago and Nashville. In addition, the band has slated a number of headlining shows and performances at upcoming festivals through the summer. Announced tour dates are listed below and additional ones will be announced soon - for complete details and ticket information, please visit www.nickibluhm.com.
