EX COPS ANNOUNCE SUMMER TOUR DATES

Release "Black Soap" Eli Escobar Remix

Stream: "Black Soap" (Eli Escobar Remix) Via Dancing Astronaut

Ex Cops  is the  musical brainchild of Amalie Bruun and Brain Harding. The duo's 2014 sophomore release Daggers , out now on Downtown Records, is full of 90's alt-rock inspired pop sounds and features production by Billy Corgan. The duo recently shook the Pandora  and  Baeble  venues of SXSW and melted hearts at #1 on Spotify's Hot Alternative Playlist

Hot on the heels of the band's successful SXSW performances, Ex Cops have just announced summer tour dates which will include west coast headlining dates and performances at Tampa's Big Guava Festival and  Detroit's Mo Pop Festival. Additional tour dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

The newest addition to Ex Cops' arsenal of anthemic pop tracks is an  Eli Escobar  remix of the '90s alt-rock inspired "Black Soap." New York producer  Eli Escobar  isolates Bruun's effortless vocals, turning the piece into a hypnotizing dance track, which Dancing Astronaut calls "simultaneously current and timeless."  "Black Soap" is is c urrently building at Alternative radio on 15+ stations including SiriusXM Alt NationKNRK Portland, KRBZ Kansas CityKBZT San Diego as well as airing on MTV2MTVU and Revolt. The "Black Soap" Eli Escobar remix is available for streaming via SoundCloud

Ex Cops songs "Black Soap" and "White Noise" have been featured in Showtime's Shameless,CBS' Stalker and various ads including True Religion and Oliver Peoples earlier this year. Additionally,  Ex Cops will be featured performing "Weird with You" in a fashion and music concept video for Viacom's new groundbreaking fashion concept series FWD this summer.
Ex Cops brings the hook-heavy blast of '90s alt-rock into a new era on their second album
Daggers. Executive produced by icon-of-form  Billy Corgan and produced by  Justin Raisen ( Sky Ferriera, Charli XCX, Kylie Minogue ), the record rescues guitar-pop from the bedroom, returning it to the stage it deserves. Billy Corgan provided form and texture to the new tracks over a two- week period in Chicago. The band then took the material to LA for tracking with Raisen and continued collaborating with artists like  Ariel Pink , who co-wrote "Burnt Out Love" and features on "Tragically Alright."
