GAMBLES SHARES "FAR FROM YOUR ARMS"

Matthew Daniel Siskin began writing songs as Gambles in August 2012 with no goal or motive other than that the past few years needed addressing, and things that had gone unsaid for too long needed saying. The first song he released publicly was "Trust", a song that was sang in a single take at the Rare Book Room, and with no words written. Gambles has since returned to the Rare Book Room to record the Far From Your Arms EP which is due via his very own GMBLS imprint on May 7th, 2013. To celebrate, he has released its title track for free download.

  

Speaking on the inspiration and creative process that birthed "Far From Your Arms", Matthew said, "Far From Your Arms has sort of followed me around for a long time, but I wrote it between Chicago and Minneapolis. My voice was almost gone and it just came so quickly, it was the first moment on tour where I felt far from everything I knew. I think anyone and everyone can relate to that. It's a craving but it's also a promise."
