Lush, harmonious and fiercely independent, Australian sister duo Blanche DuBois are back with a startling new album, and will be criss-crossing the U.S. and Canada with a string of select tour dates. Critical darlings with a huge following down under in their native Perth, sisters Nadija and Adriana Begovich have been crafting gorgeously melodic folk-pop for the last decade, releasing their debut album Raging Favourites under their own label Streetcar Productions in 2002.
Two EPs later, Slow Motion (2004) and Love Only Hurts (2005), the band landed a deal with Australia’s largest independent music publisher, Mushroom Music Publishing.
2007 saw the release of their second full-length album, All The Things We Never Say, with ARIA Award winning producer Richard Pleasance at the helm. All The Things We Never Say was well-received by radio, with tracks "Dance Away the Day" and "Slow Motion" being added to national rotation across the NOVA FM network.
Electrifying onstage, Blanche DuBois has toured Europe and Australia countless times and supported the likes of Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, Ben Folds, Joe Cocker, Crosby Stills and Nash, Paul Kelly, Pete Murray, Kasey Chambers, Missy Higgins, The Whitlams and even The Bangles.
On their latest record Young Heart, Blanche DuBois continue to expand and perfect their unique blend of acoustic pop and heartfelt lyricism, to continued critical acclaim.
Blanche DuBois will be appearing at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles June 5, Toronto June 13-14 for NXNE, and Pianos in NYC June 20.
