THE ORWELLS ON TOUR WITH FIDLAR THIS FALL

Welcome to The Orwells live show. A sweaty, raucous experience performed by five young guys from Chicago, IL.  As an insight into the band's day to day touring life, the band made a music video featuring their version of the title track "Other Voices," which debuted at NME yesterday.  Director Eddie O'Keefe: "The "Other Voices" video was shot in Austin, Texas during this year's SXSW. The grainy, imperfect look of Super 8 caters perfectly to The Orwells' brand of primitive teenage rock n roll."

The band just finished a run of dates in NYC with Palma Violets and are currently winning over UK audiences, but with a whole run of dates with FIDLAR this fall, we won't have to wait long to have them back. See all tour dates below.

The Orwell's Other Voices EP will be released June 25th on [East End/Canvasback] and [East End/National Anthem] in the UK. Producer Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio/ Yeah Yeah Yeahs) was brought on to produce a new version of "Other Voices" which debuted on Pitchfork last week.  Additionally,  Burger Records will make the EP available on Cassette the same date.

Cousins Mario Cuomo (vocals) and Dominic Corso (guitar), twins Grant (bass) and Henry Brinner (drums), and Matt O’Keefe (guitar) have been playing together since early 2008, when they were in 9th grade. Although one might try to simply sum up their sound as garage or punk, it isn’t that simple. The Orwells sound comes from a deeper, different place that is both long forgotten and yet timeless. Their live show is frenetic, charged and feels like it could go off the rails at any moment-with the audience in full participation. Filter called them "universal, relevant thematically to anyone who’s received their high school diploma, and relevant sonically simply in that it is good music played well."
