Danish electronic artist Trentemøller has revealed the details for his forthcoming third album, Lost, out September 24th on In My Room. A more streamlined and intricate musical tapestry woven over sleepless nights in his Copenhagen studio, the followup to Into The Great Wide Yonder (2010), documents an artist really hitting his stride. Collaborating with a host of esteemed peers, personal influences and sprouting talent, Kazu Makino (Blonde Redhead), Jana Hunter (Lower Dens), Sune Rose Wagner (The Raveonettes), and Low, among others, are to be found on this new effort. A genuine study in the art of attention to detail, Lost is the kind of record one can only produce after endless months of studio isolation, long nights invested in instrument experimentation, and trashed analog consoles. Though the Trentemøller sound is left intact, as a whole, this album doesn't sound like anything he's ever produced before. "People might have wanted something similar to the last album, but if you get to the point where you're listening to what other people think your sound should be like...well, that's not for me," says Anders Trentemøller.
Trentemøller recently debuted Frederik Jacobi-directed video for 7" single 'Never Stop Running (feat. Jonny Pierce of The Drums)' with Noisey, after kicking off a set of European dates from London to Germany where he was handpicked to open for Depeche Mode. Trentemøller "transcends genres with cinematic scope" says NME who describe his "captivating complexity" of his music and sound design. It's been a long and exciting way from his debut LP,The Last Resort, alongside projects like The Trentemøller Chronicles and Remixed/Reworked, to his second record Into The Great Wide Yonder, which gained praise from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, SPIN, XLR8R, and more. The musical evolution of this Danish musical mastermind on his forthcoming third album was one characterized by twists and turns along with his development of a full live band that has toured the globe with great success.

After a groundbreaking performance at Coachella in 2011, which had Yahoo!calling him the "ultimate underdog, stunning all onlookers and becoming the toast of the fest...the biggest revelation of the entire weekend," Trentemøller embarked on a set of coast-to-coast US tours with his full live band, featuring guest appearances by expert theremin player Dorit Chrysler and Coco Sumner (I Blame Coco), concluding with the band's late night TV debut on Late Night with Carson Daly. Stay tuned for more details Trentemøller's return to the US to follow.
